5 Fates Await You

Here is what is keeping me from blogging daily.
Here is the secret project that has not been mentioned yet in Recycled Filmakers.
Here is the amazing movie that has finally been realized.
Here, is 5 Fates Await You, the new movie from W.M.Thing.
5 Fates Await You is about a girl who wants to live forever. A skeleton ghost appears and grants that wish. But in order for her to live forever, the girl has to suffer five fates, that last being the worst. Here they are:
Fate#1: Red eyes will follow you wherever you venture.
Fate#2: Invisible Ghosts will torment you.
Fate#3: Pure darkness will surround you.
Fate#4: You will hear screams in the night.
and
Fate#5: You will be tortured in a fire that burns you.
I also will say that the DSA trailer is on YouTube, just type in w.m.thing and you will get all of my movies, most recent on top.
Above are the characters in order of appearance. The girl, the skeleton ghost, & the invisible ghost.
5 Fates Await You is not done yet, but will be soon.

Trailer for DSA

I'm sorry. I must not be a very good blogger for not keeping my word about posting everyday. I forgot, and other things.
I watched Valley of Gwangi, and drew a little. But what this post is about is the new trailer for DSA: Dragon Slayers' Academy, an adoption of the the book by Kate Mc Mullan. It will be on YouTube shortly, maybe tomorrow, if I can get my father to put it on for me. He is watching the Matrix. Anyway, I'll tell you when it's on YouTube when it is.

Adventure of the Tombs

Adventure of the Tombs was originally "Gates of Troy" but I wanted it to be in Egypt, so I had to make up "Adventure of the Tombs" instead. There are no tombs in Adventure of the Tombs. There is a lot of dust, though. There is a dragon, who likes fire. (Which is really just another excuse to throw dust all around.) And many other things. The movie ends when the two playmobile charicters decide to live the rest of their lives in flowerpots.

The Architect

The Architect was going to be about an architect who drew out a plan of the house she was going to build, and then it would spring to life, and there would be the house. It didn't have enough plot, so I didn't make it.

Animated House!!

Animated House is finished!!!
With a really terrible ending.
Well, thats great news.
The bad news is,
it is 4 minutes long.
I mean, I knew I make short movies... BUT THAT SHORT???
Maybe I should be a lawyer when I grow up, and call this blog, "Recycled Lawyers"
That sounds bright and cheery.

Making Documentaries

Sorry for not posting yesterday. I was in Hartford, Connecticut. This post is about why I don't make documentaries.
The Answer is: I do. All my making ofs are documentaries. But here's the real thing. I don't like making documentaries, making-of or not. I like to make fantasy and adventure movies. Documentaries are not about dragons, girls that get lost in mazes, earthquakes, phantoms, headless ghosts, and aliens from mars.
I can't make a documentary and I usually can't sit through a documentary.
That is why I haven't made one yet.

Phantom

Sorry for not posting on Monday. I forgot. Phantom is one of the really lunatic movies I made that has no meaning.
Phantom is about... ...A phantom. I was inspired by lots of ghost movies. Frankly, I didn't look like a ghost at all in Phantom, even though I moaned a couple hundred times. Yeesh. Right now Phantom is using up space on this computer's disk drive. I don't know why I don't just delete it. I should. The image above is not really scratched up. I put a gazillion effects on it to make it look old. I won't make the rest of Phantom. definitely.

The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms

Alright, The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms is not my movie. But it is a movie I saw last night.
I was wondering: What is a fathom? Well, a fathom, it seems, is 72 inches, or two yards.
20,000 times 2 = 40,000. The Beast From 40,000 yards???
It doesn't really make any sense. Especially when the "beast" is found in the North Pole, in an iceberg. Not exactly 40,000 yards deep below the surface. It is a little bit weird.

The W.M.Thing Catalog

The W.M.Thing catalog is kind of a joke. The Librarian (pictured here) is done entirely in Cheetah3d. You wouldn't be able to buy her even if you wanted to. The "bronze" statue was simply taken from the model for "The Chef" and colored bronze-gold.

Villain's Way

Villain's Way is a movie that started, and was almost completed, then lost track hopelessly.
I do not look back on it.
It had a lousy plot, characters nobody would be able to identify with, and terrible 3d animation.
I made two trailers for it, though.

The Kingston Library PSA

The Kingston Library Public Service Announcement begins with Zadar (see- Funny Flashes, or Adventure to Pluto)
reading a book. All these creatures from Mars are bothering him, so he goes to the Kingston Library.
At the End, there is a title: Doesn't It worry you when other people bother you? Like, when your reading a book?
Now, you don't have to! The Kingston Library provides (quiet) for all. Get a good book at the Kingston Library.
Now that I can do better things, that particular PSA I am highly critical of.
(And I pretend that I'm a good critic, so I criticize with a dignified air.)

The Fox and the Grapes

I tried to re-make the Fox and the Grapes (The famous fable about a fox who sees some grapes on a branch and jumps up and down, trying to get them but fails. He then claims that the grapes are 'sour.' The moral is: Those who do not get what they need, claim it is not what they need, after all.) But all I have is one tiny shot. (Shown here) with a picture of the fox looking mounfully at the grapes.

Matilda

Matilda is based of the famous book by Mr. Dahl. There is another movie called "Matilda" but I think it doesn't deserve that name. My Matilda ends with my sister (playing Matilda) going to the library. Before that, the plot skadaddled, and objects just flew everywhere. (by reversing the scene).
