Ode to Monsterland

"There once was a spider, he was driving a car;
to go see his grandma, who lived off afar.
Then who should snatch him, but a giant hand;
and take him straight to Monsterland!
The spider couldn't make it, and fell in the sand.
The monster weeped,
And then it sleeped,
But in the morning, there was Monsterland!!!"

I know. Not one of my best poems.
But what it says is true in the movie Monsterland.
The spider does go to see his grandma and a monster snatches him away, then they find Monsterland, the spider escapes, and shows up at grandma's just in time for dinner.

Prince Caspian

Yesterday we went to see the second Narnia movie. Prince Caspian.
I liked it, and I thought it was less scary then the first. It has already made a lot of money, and Andrew as director will certainly live on until The Last Battle, where Narnia is distroyed, and the only way out is the way through which you came.

Little Shop of Horrors is DONE!!!

Finally, LSOH is off my back. Now I can sit back and relax. Not for long, though! I have a kabillion movies to finish and this is just one of them. (Though it is nice to get it out of my way).

Cyclops!!!

This is the coolest test for the blurry effect used in Cheetah, 3D. Isn't it amazing???
My very special Cyclops in his room.
Unbelievable!!!
You can hardly tell none of it exists.

Cinderella

Cinderella is about... Well, Cinderella. Except that my sister plays Cinderella. I submitted Cinderella to a film festival and it wasn't shown. This time I'm going to give them Director Snag It. Pictured here are the glass slippers. Cinderella was filmed at christmas time, hence, the blue lights seen in every scene.

the Story of W.M.Thing

This post isn't really here to give you any kind of background.
It's here to remind me of how W.M.Thing came to be.
I was doing a test. I was drawing rainbow letters for fun.
You know, orange overlapping into red, red to purple, purple to blue, blue to violet, violet to orange, etc.
I wanted my drawing to have one very long word. I didn't know any very long words.
The longest word I could spell was "Thing" and "Thing" wasn't long enough for all those colors.
So I put two letters in front of "Thing" to make it longer. "W. M. Thing" was a long enough word for me to be able to draw rainbow colors on. "W. M. Thing" would have never become a film company if my father hadn't walked into the room. "W. M. Thing," he said thoughtfully, "Is that a movie company?," I thought that "W. M. Thing" was a perfect name for a movie company.
So I lied through my teeth and said "Yes it is! There is also 'Artificial Black!'"
I said, making up another company on the fly.
It took a month or so to say that W.M.Thing made all the serious, normal, movies, and Artificial Black made the funny movies. I haven't made an Artificial Black movie in a good, long time.

Chess

This is an experiment I did. I got into chess very much and so I made a little movie about the chess pieces. (By the way, sorry about not posting. I was caught up in other things). This chess game has me shouting out "Let's Play!" and "Harry, you won!" as Ron in my hideous British accent. I have to improve that.

Claw

Claw is about cats. It is based off a game me and my sister made up. Claw, you see, is Clue. Only with cats instead of villains. Here are some of the Claw characters: Colonel Kitty, Professor Puss, Miss W. Puss, Mr. Green Puss, Mrs Scrachit, Mrs Peacock Puss. Almost all of these names were made up by my sister.
In Claw #1, you try to figure out who poisoned the food. Tricky, but it tells you the answer.
Pictured above is Miss W. Puss, announcing that she doesn't want to serve ignorant buffoons.

Stranded

Stranded is another project made by both W.M.Thing and F.B.W. It is about three girls who go on a cruise ship. The ship is eaten by a shark, so they are stranded on an island, hence, the title.
It is a story of survival, strife, and hunger.
It should be the best movie yet, but I can't say because we haven't finished it.

Opal the Hopeful Dragon is Hoping

Opal is a hopeful dragon, who spends her time on the mountain peaks wishing that she could get even with the prince that lives there.
She does get that chance, when the prince falls sick and she pretends to be doctor, and feeds him all kinds of poison. The prince is soon dead, thanks to her. She realizes that she never really wanted to kill him. So she whips up the antidote.
The prince is saved, but he isn't to grateful. Opal locks him in the dungeon that he put her in. Then she happily throws away the key.

Pusscat's Window Ad

My Diner- Pusscat's Window, is seen here in an ad for it. The ad was made in Cheetah 3D, a 3D program. The ad says that Pusscat's Window is "The Best in Town" and it is- because we charge much less then it costs for all the organic ingredients. Sadly, this is one of the reasons that we only have $85 dollars in our bank account.

Fate

Fate is about three ghosthunters who go into a house and chase a ghost. But then a monster pops out and the fun begins! Unfortunately, I had long hair when I shot most of the film, so when I cut it I had to shoot the rest of Fate with my short hair. That practically ruined it.

Animated House

Animated House is a movie about a girl who is turned into a drawing when she falls into a painting. "Do you not want to be a sketch?" a globe asks her, who happens to sound just like Snacks, (see Ghosts) and he makes her watercolor. Later, he sends the girl into the drawing room. A.K.A: the living room or front parlor.
then a hand falls onto a piece of paper, and colors the cheeks of a drawing of the girl. The drawing morphs into the real girl, who is overjoyed she is back. Then she falls asleep on the couch, and the end credits come on.

Luna Lovegood and the Turning Shelves

W.M.Thing and Falling Broken Wings collaborated together to turn out Luna Lovegood and the Turning Shelves.
It starts with Luna's mother dieing,
and then her reading her letter and going to Hogwarts. My sister wrote a novel, (what a novel idea), about Luna, since she was her favorite character. I wanted to direct it, and so I did, and now W.M.Thing and F.B.W brought you Luna Lovegood and the Turning Shelves.

Ghosts

Ghosts is about two budding detectives, Spy Ray and Ray, who go into a house because they get a call from Amanda, who says they are living next to ghosts. Spy Ray and Ray go in despite the warning of Snacks, (Pictured above), who says to go away. They go in and are paid a visit from ghost girl, who leaves them a warning: Go Out Now! In Pig Pen code. Spy Ray and Ray try to leave, but Snacks stops them and locks them in a room. Then Spy Ray and Ray respond by setting fire to the house, and Snacks falls, dead.
Then, when they get back inside, Mrs. Edword calls and says that they are living next to zombies, and Ray says, "We've got another mystery."

TGTB&TT and PAF!

TGTB&TT is to long to spell. So I shortened it.
Its real name is The Good, The Bad and the Terrifying.
Being an unfinished project, It really is quite something.
It is about a ghosthunter (a friend) and his sister, (my sister)
who are drawn to an old house after school.
They are forced to go inside. Inside, a devilish little monster
bites their ankles. A two-headed monster
chases them around the house.
In PAF! there is a ship captain who is sailing the sixteen seas. (Me)
who, whenever he blows his cannon at a passing ship,
ends up flying overboard.
A whole bunch of slapstick follows.

Claymation: Already Finished!

Claymation is a movie that for obvious reasons, I would be worried about if it hadn't already been finished. Claymation is a movie with a whole bunch of tests cramped together in a jumble. All of them are of me pushing and mashing clay with stop-motion. That's why I call it, Claymation.

Dancing In Japan

Why dance in China when you can dance in Japan? Dancing in Japan has almost nothing to do with dancing. It is about a girl (my sister) and a boy (me) who are in school when an enormous earthquake happens. The camera is bonked around a lot before the earthquake stops. Then the girl and the boy (I haven't made them names yet), run away. When they come back, the school is in tiptop shape. But then the girl's cat vanishes. So they have to look for it. They split up and the boy decides it would be fun to light a fire. After several tries he succeeds. But then he burns the forest down. Smart. Then they run away from the fire and the last thing they see is the girl bouncing on the trampoline. That is how it ends. Great ending, huh?

Hansel and Gretel; Should I, or Shouldn't I?

I planned to make my own version of Hansel and Gretel but I might not since the outlook is quite grim in the video actually filmed department. I might; and I might not, we will see.

Randy Is Puzzled

Here's the image of Randy when the fishing pole flies out of his hand.
Nice, huh?
Check out the full picture by scrolling down, (it's down there somewhere).

Beasts

Beasts is a short film about two girls who are forced to go to a ball by one of the girl's father, who turns into a werewolf. The girls think that Mr. Wolf will give them shelter. They are wrong. They run away and go to the ball even though it's awful.

DSA: Takes To The Air! (Not Just Worm).

DSA: Dragon Slayers Academy is a movie that is based off the books. Worm, a dragon that the two main characters Wiglaf and Angus hatched, is pictured left. Isn't he cute? I modeled him and his eggshell in Cheetah3D. As he grows older, he looks less and less cute. It's too bad. Worm is always growing and saying, "Wormm come to mmummy!" and because the unfortunate Wiglaf is the "Mmummy" he has to care for Worm.
Angus is able to have direct eye contact with Worm, therefore, he is able to train him better then Wiglaf can.
I had the idea for making Dragon Slayer's Academy. I kind of regret making it because it's not something I'll be able to start filming in a while.
But at least none of the characters are stop-motion animated. That way thing will go faster for everybody.

The Maze

The Maze is about a girl who goes into a maze and has to find her way out again. She comes across a shadowy figure and runs away from it; she sees the dreaded Tiepitum- a creature with many heads and many eyes, and finally, she sees a beating heart in the center chamber of the maze. The thing is- its got a plot and blah, blah, blah but it has the same problem as with Adventure to Pluto, Mattimeo and all those other films that include stop-motion: I don't want to do stop-motion anymore; I am not into it. Problem, No? I am sorry I cannot fix it.

Being a Ghost

Boo! Being a Ghost is a fun-filled ghost movie that takes place in our house. (Not a surprise!)
When ghosthunter Malenda Popkins inspects the old, rotting house she is investigating, she runs into a whole lot of ghosts. First- Graves, a farm ghost, then Yards Gone, who is a practical joker, then- Luna Moon, a mysterious ghost, and then, finally, Reckless, a ghost who was murdered in his pajamas. Every ghosts she encounters doesn't scare her in the least. (Even Yards Gone.)
I am happy to say that Being a Ghost is on DVD.

Little Shop of Horrors Returns!

LSOH, or Little Shop of Horrors stars Quentin Champ-Doran as Seymore and yours truly as Mr. Mushneck. Audrey2 or "Twoie" as Seymore calls it, comes back too. He smashes fences, glasses, bottles and Mr. Mushneck. Not a pleasant plant!
(Especially for an alien),
Seymore is finally driven to distroy it by his girlfriend Audrey.
The movie ends in a high-note.
(Not really).
The End.
Audrey2 was modeled in Cheetah and is sometimes a puppet. Seymore loves Twoie until "Twoie" makes Mr. Mushneck end his life with a crunch.

Mystery Kids Solve the Mystery!

T.M.K or "The Mystery Kids" are a special TV show that I made up in 2007. These shows are based on the games me and my sister play with Playmobile®. They find out who The Skeleton Man was, who The Plant Ghost was, who The Ice Ghost was, and etc.
Although it is a whole lot like the series, T.M.K is the Playmobile® version of Scooby. I haven't aired it because:
#1: I don't have any money.
and
#2: Because Playmobile® would sue me.
And anyway, kids can make their own T.M.K movies. Why should I give them it? They have the Playmobiles®, and the imagination, that's all they need. (Except, maybe, the video camera.)
T.M.K's long list of TV spots continues until it runs out of the fluid of the brain. (That is; brain power), and it stops there. I've only made three of the ten TV shows I've worked out, and because, as they are stop-motion activated, the same problem arises as with Adventure to Pluto and Mattimeo.
Great.

Gerlock Holmes and Dr. Harm 1 and 2

Gerlock is a gargoyle. Harmony is a cat. Both of them go on a an adventure worth having in Gerlock Holmes and Dr. Harm #1. Gerlock Holmes (sometimes as 'Sherlock Jr.') and his assistant, Dr. Harm, go off in hot pursuit of the criminal who stole Racconi's ring. (It turns out to be in the cookie jar), in Gerlock Holmes and Dr. Harm #2, they go after a murderer who murdered Merecat's cousin, Racooni. (This episode was unfortunatly deleted.) The villain turns out to be "Ben" the monkey, who threw a shoe at Racooni when Racoon saw him stealing some silverware. All-in-all, they have fun solving mysteries together. Gerlock Holmes the gargoyle and Dr. Harm the beanie baby cat. Go to: http://www.jhhl.net/WMThing/Harmony.html to learn more!

The Sad History of Not Wanting; Mattimeo

Mattimeo, (The second mouse on the right) is a tiny mouse compared to his dad, (pictured far left) who is a warrior. Mattimeo wants to be a warrior too. "He is just to young." his father says of Mattimeo to Mayflower, (Mattimeo's mom), "He needs to be older." Mayflower think the opposite when a fox comes and steals the Redwall children.
Mattimeo and his friend Tess, are among those who get stolen. Mayflower encourages Mattimeo on his quest for revenge. The problem is; I don't want to stop-motion animate the whole of Redwall.
Its been a year and I have only made one minute of animation.
It's the same thing with Adventure to Pluto, year, after year, after year.
Somebody posted a comment on YouTube™ about how "I spelled Mattimeo wrong." The point is not about how you spell it, it's about what you do with it. That's the only thing that matters.

Following Kato Adventure; Sad Tale

Following Kato Adventure (F.K.A) and its sequel, Following Kato Adventure 2 (F.K.A2) have a sad tale behind the tail of a cat named Kato, the star of the series of movies where me and a friend try to chase Kato all over the house. Following Kato 2 (never made) was going to be the second of the two Kato movies, (The third was going to star a dog)
But, after I shot part of the footage, I couldn't shoot the rest. Kato died. (We think), rumors about a big, scary, cat were flying around. Kato may have been struck a fatal blow from the other cat.

Ginco is Spelled Wrong! (Again!)

Many people, (I am not mentioning names), have said that Ginco is spelled wrong.
"I know," I always tell them frustratedly, "it's supposed to be that way. Ginko sounds like 'Gecko' and of course, Ginco is not a gecko. He is a crime-fighter. In fact, he is the best crime fighter in the world. That's why he fights crime. Obvious, right?" Even if Ginco is misspelled then it doesn't stop everybody from saying "It's good, Garden Spider, let me watch TV." That was what was said about the first one. The second one was too short, and the third one was accidentally deleted by my sister, (who was trying to make her own iMovie project.)
Ginco is a life-saver in a world full of garbage. I'm trying not to make Ginco garbage too.

Adventure to Nowhere

Recently I have not been working on Adventure to Pluto, its been something I just haven't got to. But sometimes I do work on it, by making trailers and blah.
I do animation for Adventure (That is, stop-motion; where you take a picture with your camera, move your model the tiniest bit, and take another picture, and so forth;)
And because I am starting to lose interest in stop-motion, this is a little grueling.
On the bright side, however, I have been thinking about taking Batwings and Zadar,
(See-Funny Flashes), to be W.M.Thing's mascots. Zadar is an endearing character who is scared of everything- "Heights, mice, licorice, spiders, moth-eating wasps, and aliens from pluto." He tries to make Batwings stop the rocket ship when it takes off accidentally, but to no avail. Batwings, even though he is shorter then Zadar is, is bossier then Zadar and likes to take control of things. That is why he isn't afraid when Lord Manyeyes faces him on pluto.
Adventure to Pluto has, unfortunately, become Adventure to Nowhere, seeing as I haven't finished the part when they fly off to pluto.
All-in-all, Adventure to Pluto has been fun to animate (Even if I haven't finished it) and so, when it comes out, I hope it will be OK.

Funny Flashes

I have been making flash videos in Flash3, (not the best Flash), they are called "Phone Gag" and "Logo Gag" In phone gag, the phone rings until it falls off the hook. In logo gag, Batwings and Zadar, (W.M.Thing's main characters), knock over the W.M.Thing logo and a spotlight points at them. Sorry if you can't see these flash movies, because something went wrong with the movie-loader thingy in blogger.com.

Machines for Director Snag It "Is Made"

Here is Director Snag It, grinning like he won the lottery.
He is actually grinning because he likes the color you chose his color in Director Snag It "Is Made" Game. (Really, you don't choose it, he forces you to pick the right color).

Director Snag It being made by machines modeled in Cheetah3d.
(Note the work bench with wheels. In a deleted scene Director Snag It rolls off to the conveyor belt, instead of cutting straight to it.)

Randy In: Holiday Tiki Dance

Randy, the co-star of The Chef, is afraid of tikis, and so I just had to have him come face-to-face with his worst fear. Randy In: Holiday Tiki Dance stars Randy, who is going on a boat trip. His boat sinks accidentally when he tips it in surprise when he sees the tikis. He then sets about trying to fish for it. After he brings up his hook, it slips out of his hand. Randy then makes a campfire. He is surprised when the tikis on the beach start to dance. He faints, and the End Credits come on. Randy ends the picture by saying, "I need a vacation from this vacation!" with a sigh.
Randy In: Holiday Tiki Dance is now available on DVD.

Realistic Office 3D Render!

This office is the work of Cheetah 3D, a 3D rendering and modeling program. In this picture, I modeled my father's office in Cheetah, and then I rendered it with an HDRI on it, to make it look realistic. Here is the finished office. It looks almost exactly like my father's. I even have some of the mess. (Not all of it). This is what is office would look like if he cleaned it. His office does not have so much space in the middle. And it isn't so bright. I've even included his back-breaking ball chair, on which he almost broke his back and couldn't walk for a day and a half.
Now he uses my chair. I like the ball chair though, its fun to sit on.
Here is a video I made with The Office model.
©W.M.Thing Productions, 2008.

Director Snag It "Is Made" Is On DVD!

Director Snag It "Is Made" is an all-new short from W.M.Thing productions. It tells about how Director Snag It, who is a robot, was made. (Director Snag It had a movie about how he defeated the Can, a deathly criminal, and ran away from the Hospital for Deranged Appliances.) Director Snag It is passed through loads of machinery before he comes out, ready for his adventure.
In the short, Snag It is made to go through cool-looking machines, so I had to model them all in a 3D program. Pictured above is the poster for "Director Snag It 'Is Made'" note the befuddled expression on his face, which I had to model in the 3D program too.
Director Snag It is fully alive and well in this poster, although he looks kind of like his blood is rushing to his head.
Director Snag It "Is Made" is now on DVD, to be fully enjoyed by its audience.

To Much Movies

I am steadily coming up with new movies everyday, and almost none of them get made. Here's a few I just picked off the milk carton- The Great Roneni (A magician trys to think of the greatest magic trick in the world, and brings laughter to the crowd) Run Away Mower (where someone buys a lawn mower and it chews up everything in sight), Goodbye, Monster! (In which... I don't know... Maybe, a boy finds a monster under his bed and the monster tries to hide, but... Uh... He falls off the bed and hurts his back). All of these I just made up. I haven't made any of those movies I mentioned. And I came up with all those plots on the fly. I have to many movie ideas that never become movies. My sister Ada doesn't help, ether. She keeps making up ideas for movies too. Here are some of her new ones: The Great April Fools Joke which is a whole lot like Parent Trap, Stranded (which is a whole lot like the TV show, Lost), and Luna Lovegood and the Turning Shelves, (which is based off her own novel with the same title.)
All of them she is dovoteing her utmost attention to. She has a website, (Just search, F.B.W, and you'll see it). Go to my website, www.WMThing.com to learn more about my movies and W.M.Thing.
